August 28, 1945 - Jackie Robinson, first met Branch Rickey who was the general manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers at his office at 215 Montague Street in Brooklyn.

After a dramatic, challenging, legendary interview, the two signed an agreement that would make Jackie Robinson the first African American to play for a MLB team.
