Baseball Legends join The Other Boys of Summer

We started 2020 with a special program at the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center in Little Falls, NJ. The program was a chance for guests to explore Discover Greatness, an exhibit on loan from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in KC and see the film. Following the film there was a panel discussion hosted by MLB Network and former All Star Harold Reynolds which included Willie Randolph, Bob Kendrick (NLBM president), Pedro Sierra (Negro League player) and our very own director, Lauren Meyer. Baseball royalty was in the house as members of the Berra Family and the families of Larry Doby and Monte Irvin were there. It was a special night full of stories and laughter. Willie Randolph may have said it best when he said, "I'm loving this. I could stay hear and talk about this all night".

This is an important story that deserves to be shared. Together we can unite communities and expand the reach of these inspiring stories. 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Negro Leagues. Join us in celebrating the legacy and honoring these civil rights trailblazers.
