Kids in the Windy City

March 5, 2020 was a great day on the south side. We worked with The Chicago White Sox to bring The Other Boys of Summer to the community. It was a FREE event that welcomed kids of all ages and families to watch the film and participate in a Q&A with filmmaker, Lauren Meyer.

The White Sox 5th Annual Jackie Robinson Video contest invites 6th - 12th graders to submit short videos of athletes who helped pave the way for African Americans and Latinos in baseball. The Other Boys of Summer was a great way to introduce the students to many of the trailblazers from The Negro Leagues.

Lauren answered questions and gave suggestions and advice to the aspiring filmmakers.

The event took place at Studio Movie Grill where everyone was provided dinner and a movie (for free).
