Program supports the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum
As our country shut down in response to Covid-19 all of our upcoming programs were put on hold or postponed indefinitely. We knew that meant we needed to get to work to figure out how to continue to inspire people and shine the spotlight on the Negro Leagues. It was not going to be possible for us to bring the program to communities and organizations in person for the immediate future. Jackie Robinson Week
MLB honors Jackie Robinson each year on April 15th, the day he stepped on the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers. We extended that honor by celebrating the entire week. We began the celebration in KC where we were invited to be part of the Jazz & Jackie Celebration at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.
